Pastors in Bono region implored EC to be fair in elections 2024

Pastors and Reverend Ministers in Bono region have urged the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, Mrs Jean Adukwei Mensa to be fair in election 2024. 

According to them, the position of the EC is critical, therefore should be very fair, firm and be frank to help maintain the peace Ghana is enjoying.

They spoke to thefourlens.com in an interview on the sidelines of the 31st all-night church services in Sunyani.

At the Methodist Church Ghana, Very Reverend Dr. Solomon Bruce, the Superintendent Minister of the Church, Sunyani Circuit and also the Synod Secretary of the Sunyani Diocese noted the destiny of the country is in the hands of the electorate, therefore implored all to be vigilant in electing leaders of the country.

He advised the general public, particularly the youth to make wise decision and decide what they want their lives to be for the next four years.

Apostle Ofori Baffour, the immediate past President of Sunyani Ministers Network, also the founder of Unique Holy Fire of God Ministry pleaded with leadership of the Political parties to ensure their supporters and follower do not engage in any lawless act to tarnish the peaceful, coexistence and harmonious image of this country.

He stated children, persons with disabilities and women are the most vulnerable groups that often suffer consequences of electoral chaos and violence, hence the populace should think about them.

At the Word of Favour Ministry International, Sunyani Abesim, Apostle Emmanuel K. Sakyi, the founder and leader of the church urged politicians to be faithful to Ghanaians.

He explained politicians should desist from using their high political positions and offices to deceive the citizens, but ensure they deliver their campaign message and promises.

Apostle James Gabriel Quardson, the Sunyani Area Head of the Church of Pentecost cautioned the general public to note that peace is the indelible mark Ghana has, therefore every individual or group in the country should hold that peaceful mantle.

Adding that, cleanliness is next to Godliness, in that regard, the citizenry should endeavor to make proper sanitation management a hall mark.
