The Black Stars Head Coach, Chris Hughton could not confirm the chances of Kudus Mohammed playing Ghana second AFCON2023 game against Egypt in the ongoing tournament.
At a press conference on Wednesday ahead of the ‘titanic’ group B clash, the Coach said “We would continue to asses his strength today and tomorrow to see if he can play”.

Kudus Mohammed was suffering injury before joining the team and couldn’t play the Black Stars first AFCON2023 match against Cape Verde.
But, majority of Ghanaians an football enthusiasts are with the hope that Mohammed Kudus’s return from injury would provide a potential boost to the attacking strength of the Black Stars.
Addressing the concerns at the press conference, the Black Stars forward, Jordan Ayew accounts for their lose to Cape Verde in their first game.
“We lost concentration after the 90 minutes, that cause us to lose the game against Cape Verde”, he said.
“We are ready, committed and have no option than to win the match against Egypt”, Jordan Ayew assured Ghanaians.
The crucial group B Ghana vs Egypt clash is 20:00 GMT kickoff, today, Thursday, January 18 2024 at the 35 000 capacity Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan.
