We’re going to install Close Circuit Television (CCTV) Cameras to help identify hooliganists at the Sunyani Coronation Park and deal with them, Mr. Ransford Antwi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Suncity Group of Companies in Sunyani has said.

He said more measures are being explored to ensure that the few trouble makers who tend to give Sunyani a bad name in terms of football are dealt with.

Mr. Antwi, the leader in the execution of the Sunyani Coronation Park project (The People’s Project) said, when speaking in an interview with Suncity Radio in Sunyani.

This follows a hooliganism at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Match-day 11 encounter of the Ghana Premier League between Bofoakwa Tano FC and Nsoatreman FC at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

Some fans invaded the pitch and led to an attack on Nsoatreman FC Coach, Maxwell Konadu, who was hospitalized.

The Ghana Football Association in that regard placed a temporary ban on Bofoakwa Tano FC from using the Sunyani Coronation Park as its home venue.

Mr. Antwi stated he, together with the Coronation Park project implementation committee would do all things possible to prevent fans from attacking referees and players at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

“We’re going to stop hooliganism once-and-for-all” he assured.
