Ghana To Get African Institute Of Parliamentary Affairs

A 20 acre land have been earmarked by the Suma Traditional Council for the establishment of Parliamentary Affairs Institute in Africa.

The Institute to be established in Suma-Ahenkro in the Jaman North District of the Bono region would train Youth in Ghana and Africa who wants to become Parliamentarians.

Professor Afram Brempong III, Paramount Chief of Suma-Ahenkro Traditional Area announced on Saturday and gave the land to Right Hon. Aban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament for the construction of the first time in Africa Parliamentary Institution.

This was announced during the closing ceremony of the 2023 Suma Royal Retreat, Crusade and Coronation program from Monday to Saturday.

It was an annual event and this year’s program was on the theme, “If the Son therefore shall make free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36, KJV)”.

It was a colourful event witnessed by the Clergy, Academia, Chiefs and Queens from the Jaman North area, the Security Agencies, faith based organizations, Parliamentarians and Regional executives of Political Parties and the general public.
