Two Students, One Other Killed By Heavy Rainstorm In Badu.

Two students and one other young man have been confirmed dead by flying roofing sheets during a heavy rain storm that hit Badu community in the Tain District of the Bono region.

An eye witness report says a riped off roofing flying from an abandoned school block slashed the deceased together with many others during the rainstorm on the late hours of Monday.

The eyewitness popularly know as Akwasi Wusu told thefourlens.com in an interview that the two students are in their late teens while the other was 26 years.

He said more than 20 people were  injured during the unfortunate incident and rushed to hospital, but the three died and four of them were still on admission at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital and Tain District hospital as at time of the interview.

Thefourlens.com gathered that many young men and women of  Badu community were at the Roman Catholic (R/C) school park playing games as part of their weeklong activities of their annual Yam Festival celebration this year. 

The heavy rainstorm began at about 3:40 hours and they had no option than to secure themselves at the abandoned classroom block.

The flying roofing sheets at once riped off the abandoned classroom block to slash the deceased and the other affected persons in the process of run for your life.

Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, the Bono Regional Minister confirmed the death on Tuesday in Sunyani and consoled the families.
