Over 150 Polling Station Women Organizers Of NPP Empowered With Employable Skills

More than 150 Polling station executives (women) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the Tano North Constituency of the Ahafo region have been empowered with employable skills to improve and sustain their livelihoods.

They were women organizers trained last Tuesday in detergents (parazone, shower gel, liquid soap), body and hair cream making at Koforidua near Duayaw Nkwanta for the beneficiaries to also train their electoral area women.

The handy skill training was part of the Tano North Women Conference dubbed: “Empowering Women In Skill Development”, organized by the Constituency women organizer.

It was under the auspices of Dr. Freda Akosua Prempeh, the Member of Parliament for the Constituency and Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources

In her remarks, Dr. Prempeh encouraged the beneficiaries to put what lent into good use for the well being of their families and the society in general.

She announced her outfit was processing their details to access MASLOC loans for them to expand their businesses.

As part of the women conference, all the participants were screened for breast cancer and sensitized on its menace and prevalence in the region.

Miss Abena Konadu Gyimah, a public health nurse at the St. John of God Hospital, Duayaw Nkwanta, who led the breast care team advised women to report unusual signs of the breast to the nearest health facility for examination.
