A three-days Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training workshop for youth groups to solve societal challenges is underway in Sunyani.
The ICT workshop from Thursday to Saturday aimed at equipping participants with knowledge to identify problems in their respective communities and generate possible ideas to solve them.
The program was organized and facilitated by the Business Innovation Development and Entrepreneurship Initiative (BIDET), a youth-based nonprofit making organization in Sunyani.
It was through UNLEASH, a Global Invocation Lab into addressing community challenges and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The participants in included trainees of the Sunyani Youth Development Association (SYDA).
The ideation training to help participants generate possible ideas and find out societal developmental problems was part of SYDA’s three years intensive skills training programs.
Participants are expected to get the requisite skills and knowledge to identify the actual causes of the problems confronting accelerated development in their area and how it can be address.
Its the fifth event organized by BIDET in areas including social media marketing, post scheduling and graphic designing.
