Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, the Paramount Chief of Dormaa Traditional Area and President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs on Saturday told state actors to emulate and prioritize the integrity, accountability and transparent nature of the late J.E.A Mills.

At the J.E. A Mills’ 10th Anniversary Memorial Lecture in Sunyani, in honor of the late President of the Republic, on the theme: “The Man John Evans Atta Mills – 10 Years On”.

The lecture organized for the Bono, Bono East, Ahafo and Western North Regions was held at the Nsiah-Gyabaa auditorium, Sunyani Technical University.

It was well attended by the leadership and sympathizers of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Educationists, opinion leaders, Paramount Chiefs and Queens, Members of Parliament, current and former Mayors, Businessmen, the Clergy and people from all walks of life.

The late Atta Mills governing style was noted for creating economic confidence and a better Ghana for all, she noted.

The keynote speaker, Professor Dominic Otoo, the Dean of Students, University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) outlined that Prof. Mills was not only the peace maker, but was also committed to deal with critical factors affecting smooth delivery of education in Ghana.

He noted some of the interest area of the late President was dealing with poor educational infrastructure and ICT learning centres and awarding educational scholarships to serve the interest of learners, teachers and parents.


Prof. Mills was also poised to ensure quality education in Ghana with focuses on TVET and Technical education for consequent productive and reliable human resources for speedy national growth, Prof. Otoo stated.
