Stop unnecessary spending, keep eye on your children and provide them with their basic needs in school, Nana Akosua Dua Asor Sika Brayie II, Paramount Queen mother of Sunyani Traditional Area advised parents.
She said parents are those to benefit most if their wards and children becomes responsible person in the society in future, therefore, must take the bigger responsibility to ensure their children get all they needed both in and out of school.
It was in her welcome address at the inauguration and induction ceremony of the Sunyani Municipal Parents Association (PA).
The event under the auspices of the Bono Regional and Sunyani Municipal Education Directorates was under the theme: “Solidifying Parental Support for Educational Delivery in Sunyani Municipality”.
In all, 58 parents were inducted into office to support the progress and development of public basic schools in Sunyani from the local, Circuit and Municipal Levels.
The ceremony was attended by Head teachers and teachers of basic schools in the Municipality, the clergy, traditional authorities, parents and the general public.
