Make it a necessity to ensure all laid down processes of the state in determining the efficacy of herbal products are through to enhance confidence in the herbal industry.
Mr. Amadu Ibrahim, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IBNADJT enterprise, a registered herbal medicine manufacturing entity located in Nkonsia, Wenchi in the Bono region pleaded with fellow herbal practitioners.
He said “authenticating the efficacy of your products would help push off quacks that have been operating to bring the name of the industry into disrepute”.
Mr. Ibrahim said this in an interview with thefourlens.com on Monday at Wenchi, on the sidelines of a launch of his ‘Ibramina 2K Herbal Mixture’ an oil based herbal product certified and approved by regulatory authorities for the general wellbeing of the human system.
He advised that those blessed with herbal medicines should not avoid the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) and Centre for Plant Medicine Research (CPMR) but rather avail themselves and their products to go through scientific analysis in determining the efficacy of their drugs.
This would certainly help them render quality health care services to the general public, Mr. Ibrahim stated.
He pleaded with the government to support by investing in the herbal industry to create abundant and sustainable jobs to enhance the strength of the Ghana economy.
Mr. Ibrahim hoped that government support to improve potentials in the herbal industry would bring quality of health of the people and also earn Ghana huge foreign exchange.
The Head of Operations, Mr. Atta Akoto Senior said all herbs, materials and ingredients used to produce the Ibramina 2K Herbal Mixture were generated in Ghana for medical solution of the global population in the 21st century and beyond.
He assured that “every aspect of the product and its marketing processes will critically be looked at for further improvement to ensure that its efficacy and availability were not compromised”.
