Pack Death Trap School Buses

Mr. Edward Opoku Antwi, the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions Manager, Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Education Unit has called on the Ghana Education Service (GES) to ensure all ‘death trap’ school buses are packed to prevent any tragedy that might have occured as a result.
He made the call when speaking in an interview with thefourlens.com on the situation of school buses that can best be described as “Coffin on a wheel” buses used in carrying innocent school children in Sunyani.
He urged particularly the Private School Coordinators and managements to ensure proper maintenance of their buses to safeguard the lives of innocent school children.
The state of such “Coffin on a wheel” buses whilst in motion is sometimes an eye saw beside overloading the kids, a situation highly possing safety danger to the innocent pupils.
Mr. Antwi stated “lost human beings can not be reclaimed back”, therefore the GES together with the School Management Committees and Parents Associations should critically look and deal with this situation once and for all.
