The renowned former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi has finally broken the silence on the positive thinker who negotiated the 8 million dollars Puma deal Ghana secured in 2005.

Speaking in an interview with Joy Sports, Mr. Nyantakyi recalled and revealed that Mr. Ransford Antwi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sunyani based Suncity Radio and Suncity imperial lodge was the ‘master-brain’ behinds the 8 million dollars sponsorship agreement between Ghana and Puma, the manufacturing giants Puma in 2005. 

He lauded that Mr. Antwi was one of the key persons who brokered the Ghana Puma relationship and commended him for his selfless and immense role in helping Ghana to secure such a lucrative deal.

The GFA under the able leadership of Mr. Nyantakyi signed a reported 8 million dollar deal with Puma months after qualifying for the first World Cup in 2006. 

Mr Antwi’s positive, influential and nationalistic deeds also helps in getting a Serbian coach Ratomir Djukovic to manage the Ghana Black Stars, eventually leading the team to the first World Cup.
