A Ghana based Non-governmental (NGO), Love Leads International on Wednesday donated 18,000 pieces of prenatal capsules as support for the just ended Suncity Medical Outreach exercise held at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital (SMH).
The prenatal capsules are micronutrients presented SMH main Theatre by Pastor Emmanuel Kwaku Kyere Diabour, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization to be distributed to pregnant women at the Hospital and as support for the successful medical outreach project.Love Leads International is an NGO
into the health care of specifically women and children under five years, HIV & AIDS education and churches planting.
Pastor Diabour said the organization had been doing donations of hospital beds, wheel chairs and many others towards quality health care services delivery in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions for the past 15 years.
Dr. Robert Arko, the Medical Superintendent and surgical specialist at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital received the capsules on behalf of the SMH and thanked the Love Leads International for the routine support for health care services.
The Suncity Medical Outreach project is an annual exercise initiated by Mr. Ransford Antwi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Suncity Radio in Sunyani.
It is a free surgery project organized every year to save the lives of people with critical health conditions such as hernia, hydrocele, prostrate, cervical cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cyst and fibroid.
The three-day medical outreach exercise, from Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 October 2022 had a team of Doctors and specialists numbering about 60 from Ho, Tamale and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospitals.
Other Doctors were from Sunyani Regional and Municipal Hospitals, Berekum Holy Family Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital in Drobo and other Hospitals in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions.
Dr. Adu Appiah-Kubi, Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at the Ho Teaching Hospital, Dr. Robert Arko, Dr. J.B Fordjour and others were all with high commitment and dedication throughout the three days surgery exerciess.
