Over 400 people of Sampa screened in breast cancer by KATH

More than 400 people in Sampa and its environs in the Jaman North District on the Bono region has been screened in breast cancer by the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) on Saturday. 

Mrs. Constance Antwi Bosiako, a registered General Nurse who led a team of breast care professionals from the KATH said the over 400 screened included men.

According to her, biopsy was done for nine (9) women and some were ask to go for scan and mammogram for further action towards treatment to ensure their health situation be more better than before.

Mrs. Antwi Bosiako recommended “the community needs this kind of screening quarterly” every year base on the number attended to partake the exercise.

Mrs Antwi Bosiako passionately stressed the need for the general public to make their breast care and general health issues paramount in all endeavors.

Saying, saddened deaths in recent times is on sharp increasing beyond imagination, hence people must go for periodic check ups for early detection, treatment and prevention of what might happen.
