Suncity “Free Medical Outreach” in Sunyani

The Suncity group of companies in Sunyani has set to conduct a free medical outreach exercise, dubbed “Suncity Medical Outreach” at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital from 26 to 28th October this year.
Mr. Ransford Antwi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Suncity Radio in Sunyani announced on Monday.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, in Sunyani, he said free surgeries, Cervical and Prostate Cancers screening and others including Fibroid, Hernia, Hydrocele and Ovarian cyst would be looked at with only Health Insurance Card required for medical care on the said days.
This follows a free breast cancer screening and awareness campaign organized by the Suncity group of companies, to be held on Friday, 21st October 2022 at the Sunyani Victoria Park to commemorate the international breast cancer month in this October, he said.
The breast cancer screening and the three-day medical outreach initiated by Mr. and Mrs Ransford Antwi is to help save lives of people in the Bono region as part of the company’s scheduled activities for the year.
According to Mr. Antwi, “we have teamed up with full army of health professionals, I mean Doctors and Nurses from Hospitals in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions to conduct the free exercise.
“October is our month because I and my wife Safura were both born in the month of October, so we are doing this as part of our birthdays celebration”, he stated.
Mr. Antwi said the medical team for the outreach would be led by Professor Stephen Tabiri, Consultant Surgeon and Dean, School of Medicine at the University of Development Studies and Dr. Adu Appiah-Kubi, Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at the Ho Teaching Hospital.
Others includes Dr. Frank Gyamfi, Snr. Specialist and General Surgeon at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Owusu Urologist at St. Mary’s Hospital Drobo, Dr. JB Fordjour, Dr. Joel Duah at Kukuom Hospital.
