G2 Foundation sensitized women on breast cancer and its related menace

Women at Odumase, the Sunyani West Municipal capital in the Bono region have been sensitized last Saturday on the prevalence and menace of breast cancer.

Beneficiaries were also informed about skin and cervical cancer cases and their associate dangers and the need to report early health signs to the hospital for immediate diagnosis and treatment.

It was at a social gathering organized by the G2 Foundation, a non governmental charitable organization into the welfare of vulnerable women, children, orphans, widows and persons with Disabilities

The gathering was for women and children and also to encourage parents, particularly mothers to prioritize issues of their health and also take up responsibilities to ensure their children to desist from what could lead them to indulge in social vices.

Ms Gifty Nyarko, the Chief Executive Officer for the G2 Foundation earlier addressing the gathering stated parents may not take very good care of her children when battling ailments.

Therefore the need for women to be abreast with current health issues of concern, most especially breast and cervical cancers and guide them for sustainable and  healthier living, she said.

Mrs. Monica Yeboah, a Senior Midwife at the Family Planning, Breast and Cervical cancer Unit of the Sunyani Municipal Health Directorate took beneficiaries through the areas of breast cancer, skin cancer, cervical cancer and their associate dangers.
